Ashleigh leads the team at Purslowe & Chipper Funerals in North Perth.
“I have been in the industry just over 3 years now. I felt drawn to the industry after Mareena Purslowe took care of my grandma’s funeral in 2005. I knew I wanted to return the compassion and care shown to our family during a difficult time and be part of a respectful and unique brand.”
When asked what she likes about being a funeral arrange, Ashleigh said “I like ensuring all family members involved are acknowledged and heard during the arrangement process. I also like creating a bespoke and personalised service for each family, to really reflect the life that was lived.”
Ashleigh loves to get out horse riding. It helps her clear her head and process the week.
A funeral Ashleigh found particularly memorable and unique was a Star Trek themed funeral. All the family and attendees dressed as a particular character from the show as a nod to their loved one.
When her time comes, Ashleigh would like the song ‘Country roads take me home’ by John Denver to be played and she absolutely wants a champagne toast “because we all deserve a toast every now and then.”
